Govt taking steps for development of coastal areas: Zahoor Ahmad Buledi
Quetta: Provincial Finance Minister Mir Zahoor Ahmad Buledi said that the government was taking concrete steps to develop the coastal areas. The coastal areas could play a key role in promoting tourism, economy, and fisheries in the province, in view of this importance, the government has made effective plans for the development of these areas he expressed these views in a statement. He said that CDWP has constructed Shehznik Dam Gwadar to provide clean drinking water to the coastal towns of Gwadar, Jewani, Gunz, Panwan, and Pashu Kan.
The dam will provide 2.8 million gallons of clean drinking water to these towns it will also irrigate 1235 acres of land in the area. Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi said that the construction of this dam would soon solve the problem of clean drinking water for the residents of Gwadar district and other towns. He said that the dam would promote agricultural activities in the area which would make the people of the area economically and socially prosperous.
He said that collective works were being carried out in the area on a priority basis. Supply of clean drinking water, agriculture, fisheries, livestock, provision of healthy activities to the youth, rehabilitation of drug addicts, and other projects are under construction. Completion of these projects will bring about positive changes in the region. He said that by launching record development projects in the constituency in a short span of time, the promises made to the people have been fulfilled and this service will be continued with such dedication and enthusiasm.
