One more coronavirus case confirmed in Pakistan

The patient is a 45-year-old woman from Gilgit Baltistan, who arrived from Iran a few days ago.

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services, Dr. Zafar Mirza on Tuesday confirmed another coronavirus case in Pakistan, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to five.
Mirza assured that the patient is stable and being taken care of, and requested the media to respect the privacy of the patient and his family.

The patient is a 45-year-old woman from Gilgit Baltistan, who arrived from Iran a few days ago.
She is being treated at a hospital in Gilgit, it said, and her family members are being tested for the virus. Local schools have been closed following the confirmation of the infection.

Breaking news

Most of the cases reported so far in Pakistan have a history of travel to Iran.
